Principal and Founder of Akshay Menon Architects. Hailing from Palakkad, Akshay immerses himself in designing and overseeing construction projects. He is deeply passionate about and committed to creating spaces that enhance users' quality of life while respecting environmental considerations. Through his practice and ongoing research, Akshay dedicates himself to promoting diversity, equity, and innovation in the design industry.

Late Mani Menon

A prominent figure in Palakkad's construction industry, Mani Menon established himself as a respected construction contracting consultant. His expertise led to the successful completion of numerous projects throughout his career. As the founder of Menon Consultants, he played a pivotal role in shaping the local construction landscape. His firm became known for its commitment to quality and innovative approaches to construction challenges. Mani Menon's legacy continues through the projects he completed and the consulting firm he established, which remains a significant player in Palakkad's construction sector.

Jayaraj Menon

After completing Civil Engineering at Thiagarajar Polytechnic College in 1975, the career began in the Military Engineer Services under the Ministry of Defence. This was followed by a position at the International Airports Authority of India at Bombay Airport, and then a stint as a Civil Engineer in Saudi Arabia from 1980 to 1984. Upon returning to India, there was a brief period working on family construction projects in Palakkad before joining the Indian Telephone Department in 1986. There, the role involved heading the Civil Engineering department until 2004, when voluntary retirement was taken.

Late Ponnukutta Menon

A pioneer in Palakkad's construction industry, he acquired his knowledge from the renowned Guindy Engineering Institute. His experience spanned various projects including Vishakapatnam Port trust works, Ooty Woodlands construction, and Railways. Launching his career as an independent Engineering Contractor in the 1950s, he rose to prominence as a leading figure in Palakkad, maintaining his success well into his 70s. He was the first in Palakkad to successfully implement RCC sloping roof slabs and introduce precast concrete door frames in buildings. His portfolio included numerous prestigious projects in and around Palakkad, earning him gold medals for his executions.
